From Your Personal Shopper in Milano: Cartier opens its new, completely renovated boutique in Milan

Following major renovation work, Cartier is reopening its Milan boutique in the historic building that has been its home for over 30 years at 16 Via Montenapoleone.

The building, with its sober, refined architecture, dates from the early 19th century and today has four floors. It has been reinterpreted by Bruno Moinard, the architect and designer entrusted with the creation of all the Cartier boutiques in the world.

The furnishings and interior decoration of the new boutique’s four floors have strong cultural, historical and artistic associations connected to both the city’s cultural heritage and to Cartier traditions.

Considered one of the Maison’s flagship boutiques along with Rue de la Paix in Paris, New Bond Street in London and Fifth Avenue in New York, the Cartier boutique in Milan is destined to remain a highly prestigious address.

From Your Personal Shopper in Geneva: Chopard, Happy Fish Collection

A must-have from Chopards famous Happy Sport collection, the Happy Fish watch is appearing this year in two new versions, which transcend the multicoloured magic of the ocean depths with its delicate little moving clown fish.

Like a precious aquarium, the new Happy Fish watches are each home to three little clown fish in 18ct rose or white gold, set with yellow sapphires, tsavorites, rubies and onyxes. Swimming in a dial painted in tones of blue and depicting the bustle of a lively coral reef, the little residents of these new quirky time-keepers from Chopard invite you to explore the silent world.

Available in steel or in 18ct rose gold with a bezel set with diamonds, at 36mm in diameter the Happy Fish is of a size suitable for all occasions. The crown is set with a blue sapphire in both versions. Water-resistant up to 30 metres and powered by a quartz movement, it is rounded off by a strap in blue satin.

FROM YOUR PERSONAL SHOPPER IN PARIS: VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, BIRDS OF PARADISE, NATURE MEETS CRAFT IN JEWELRY

Van Cleef & Arpels is pleased to announce the new “Birds of Paradise” collection.  A symbol of fleeting beauty, the bird of paradise evokes the poetic rhythms and ever-changing elements in Nature that have long been an inspiration for Van Cleef & Arpels.  Precious stones in elaborate formations and colors capture the bird’s plumage, while delicate swirls and arabesques illustrate its graceful movements. Each piece conjures the bird’s delicate form, from the curves of its feathers to its enchanting dance.  The broad collection encapsulates intricacies of these creatures both literally and figuratively.
Enveloped in myth and mystery, the enigmatic bird of paradise has fascinated mankind since first discovered in the Pacific Islands.

A diamond bird motif, with a twist of a tail forming a ring, or a bird flying from a necklace of sky blue chalcedony beads, expressed the sweet side. But Van Cleef’s love bird clip, nestling in a turquoise necklace, showed the more vibrant spirit while earrings in contrasting stones underscored the fashion for mix-and-match.
